Activities in Zimbabwean rural schools
.One of the challenges we observed when we visited is that schools lack personnel to supervise projects that could be used to raise funds to supplement other activities e.g. sports teams and small capital projects. One of our objectives on this project is to provide student helpers who would help specific schools design and implement "practical" projects that not only prepare students for a future but raise funds for the school as well. These activities include:
a. Improved gardening methods (small scale veggie farming by primary school kids)
b. Product based school projects in fashion and fabrics courses (e.g. uniforms and other products that can be used to raise money)
c. Building and construction projects that actually contribute to the infrastructure of the school
d. Science projects that also help produce usable products for the school.
This section is still under construction.
