I am an environmental chemist who is currently an Associate Professor of Environmental Science and Geology at Stockton University in South New Jersey. I have a BS (Hons) from the University of Zimbabwe, an MS in Environmental Earth Science from the University of Guelph in Canada, and a Ph.D. in Trace Metal Geochemistry from the University of Florida. I teach various courses including Global Environmental Issues, Environmental Citizenship, Water Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Pollution and Regulation, Environmental Toxicology, and Remediation and Biotechnology.
As a Zimbabwean, I am involved in a number of initiatives that promote sustainability in Zimbabwe, including running my own non-governmental organization (NGO), Gaia Environmental Trust (GET). I collaborate with Dr. Mupetesi, who heads the Farmers Association of Community Self Help Investment Group (FACHIG) in research and community projects that promote sustainability throughout Mashonaland Central and beyond.
After working with a Stockton University student group, Books Without Borders, for several years, I embarked on a project to collect books from US schools and ship them directly to deserving Zimbabwean students in rural areas. This project has potential for significant impact in the lives of students and teachers who work hard in tough conditions with very limited resources.
If you have any questions at all about this project, please email me here or call or WhatsApp me on my cell phone (+1 352 514 6379) or +263 784 219 735 or +263 714 021 740 (WhatsApp only for the last two numbers).
